i presented my thesis yesterday! debating if i should make it available to read here, since i quite literally broke my back and left thumb joint to do it. i apparently did an amazing job! i'm perpetually second-guessing my work and terrified if it's "any good". it's good to hear validation because it does help me build my confidence. people don't understand that confidence cannot be built in a vacuum- or at least, i don't think it can.
i'm almost there to getting my MPH! i am a bit more free now and can do more of my artistic pursuits now. i want to fill out this website (fix all the unfinished and blank pages) and start writing again! i have a dear friend who writes fanfic and participates in a lot of exchanges, which has inspired me to, once more, pick up the gauntlet regarding writing fiction. i want to write self-serving fanfic after writing nothing but cover letters, grant proposals, educational materials, and research papers. i can't wait to start putting my work out there.
i also may be going to a local(?) reptile expo soon with a friend. i'm thankful for my friends who are patient with me and understand how i tend to disappear when my life and health go downhill. things have been difficult and unstable for me as of late and people's patience always marvels me.
also, i've been collecting albums on bandcamp. many artists provide their digital albums for free so i've been collecting them into my itunes. my friend also made a huge mp3 dump of music recommendations and i want to do the same. THIS IS HOW WE WIN YALL /joke but not really. i don't have the money in my budget to spend on spotify premium nor do i want to support them anymore, so i've decided to start doing things the old fashioned way. same with movies, shows, and stuff of that nature. and games too. oddly enough, the more i do stuff like this the more tech-savvy i get. win-win.
this entry was all over the place, but i'm running a high (and for some reason, simultaneous low) from finishing and presenting my thesis. I DID IT!
