i'm pretty piss-poor at introducing myself, but hi. i'm the webmaster of caterpillarangel, mau (or whatever you know me as). this specific website has been around since 2025, but i've been here and there on the independent web since 2018.

because of my tendencies to hop around and abandon projects (pre-ADHD diagnosis mostly), i've forgotten my old websites and sadly did not preserve many of my old layouts. i can say that my last site was venusinfoxfurs on neocities, which has since been deleted (RIP 2023-2025).

anyway, i hope to not abandon (!!) this project soon, allowing for this place to reflect my current interests, skills, and... eccentricities. i've been on-and-off interested in web design since 2013, starting on tumblr and moving across various platforms.

about me: i am a soon-to-be mph graduate who is currently taking a break to receive medical care/caregiving. i'm happy to say that my life is boring!! i spend a lot of time doing my hobbies, suffering through my senior thesis project and working on getting published, and chatting with friends. some of my hobbies include digital/traditional art, film photography, journalling, playing video games (rpgs/visual novels mostly), watching horror movies, looking at animals, looking at bugs, documenting my life, collecting dolls, and being incredibly off-putting and strange. i love analog/dedicated technology and am trying to decentralize my life (around my phone).
